Neutral glass tubing

Laying Foundation Today For The Technology Of Tomorrow

Increased Capacities: The furnace has now been redesigned to produce 8.0 metric tonnes of clear and amber tubings.

Hallmark of this campaign will be production of TITANIUM AMBER (dark brown colour).

Focus On Quality

It is our endeavor to ensure that there is no compromise on the quality of our products.

Keeping in mind the application of our glass tubes, special care is taken right from the selection of the high quality raw materials. Utmost care is taken to ensure that correct quantity of raw materials is weighed, mixed, conveyed and stored with special emphasis on avoiding batch segregation whilst conveying and storing in the silos. The batch is prepared with a sophisticated batching controller which ensures compliance of the mixture in accordance with our time tested and proven batch composition which ensures minimal migration of alkali release to the surface of the glass container.

The batch is melted in a modern well designed furnace using high quality refractories capable of withstanding high temperature of 16000C. It is not only the furnace but the complete glass plant is equipped with state of art computerized control systems which ensure uniform and homogenous melting of glass. Over and above the distributed control system our plant is equipped with the most advanced Supervisory Control Software thereby eliminating the need of operator intervention and monitoring of the plant. The entire plant process in monitored and controlled from a computerized control station room. The tubes are drawn using the danner process equipped with precise temperature and speed control. The tube drawing machines are capable of drawing tubes upto linear speed of 150 meters per minute with practically no variation thereby attributing a high level of dimensional uniformity and accuracy of our tubes. The dimensional accuracies are electronically controlled in close loop using non contact laser technology.

These tubes are parted from the main catenary using high rpm carbide discs thereby resulting in low generation of glass particles which are eventually air washed on the end trimming and glazing machine. The tubes are finally shrink wrapped in square pack and packed in corrugated boxes for the domestic market or palletized for the export market as per customer requirements.

In an effort towards assuring our commitment towards Quality, all shipments are supported with Certificate of Conformity by our Quality Assurance Department.
